吳鈞堯，出生金門昔果山，十二歲遷住台灣，中山大學財管系畢，東吳大學中文所碩士，早年為詩，後致力小說與散文。二十一世紀以來，金門書寫的主軸尤為特出，《火殤世紀》寫金門百年歷史，獲文學創作金鼎獎。長篇小說《遺神》描風獅爺身世，收錄九歌出版社年度小說獎作品〈神的聲音〉。曾獲《聯合文學》、《聯合報》、《中國時報》、《中央日報》小說獎及梁實秋、教育部等散文獎，數次入選年度小說與散文選。二○○五、二○一二年，兩次獲頒發五四文藝獎章，現任《幼獅文藝》主編。著有《火殤世紀》等十餘種，繪本作品《三位樹朋友》獲第三屆國家出版獎，入圍香港豐子愷兒童圖書獎前十強，另有學術論文《撥霧──金門現代文學發展之研究》。
