李崇建，東海大學中文系畢業。曾任職記者、教師、文案、翻譯，待過劇團、餐廳、泥水匠、酒保。大學畢業時與同學共創距離文學專刊，1996年開始斷斷續續小說創作，並將一直探索小說創作的藝術。曾獲聯合文學小說新人獎、教育部文藝獎、玉山文學獎、洪醒夫小說獎等。
