《十牛圖》，由宋代廓庵所作，是禪宗思想的經典《禪宗四部錄》的其中一部。《十牛圖》以十幅圖畫將尋覓本性的過程循序漸進地排列出來，含有豐富的哲學意義。本書根據《十牛圖》的十幅圖畫及頌語，依圖次第解釋牧童所象徵的「自我」（ego）、牛象徵的「本我」（self），以及牧牛過程所喻指的修行過程，逐步闡述如何從迷惘的狀態尋回本我，並且以中、日、西方的哲學思想進行比對，探討《十牛圖》「找回自己」、「存在論」、傳統東方神秘主義思想等，更立體地折射出《十牛圖》的思想面貌。
日本京都大學博士（文學），香港城市大學亞洲及國際學系副教授。專攻中日比較文學、日本思想史、日本古典文學等。
