全臺唯一「陸上燒王船」就在臺南柳營！三年一科、百年傳承，柳營王醮不送海、不漂流，王船現場自燃，火光照天，千人朝聖！從豎燈篙、落壇請旨到王船焚燒，完整演繹急水溪流域中游最磅礡的民間信仰。 如今更登錄文化資產，這不只是祭典，是一場凝聚神力、祖靈與百姓心願的神界巡禮！
傳承百年的「柳營王醮」，為柳營區重要的宗教信仰，亦為大臺南少見的內陸型王醮。二○二二年十月經市政府文資審議通過，同年十一月公告登錄為臺南市民俗，保存者為柳營代天院，為柳營區首項登錄之無形文化資產。
為使「柳營王醮」無形文資內涵能更為社會大眾所知悉，臺南市政府文化局乃先行進行調查研究暨保存維護計畫，並將調查研究內容與紀錄片成果合輯，精采呈現柳營王醮的氣勢與真善美。

作者　黃文博｜臺南鹽分地帶井仔腳人，國小校長退休(2009)，曾獲得《聯合報》報導文學獎(1991)、南瀛文學獎(1994)、教育部「本土語言傑出貢獻個人獎」及臺南縣「校長領導卓越獎」(2009)等。著有臺灣民俗、信仰及臺語詩等著作計105冊。
