退休後開始學畫，城市素描是我學習的目標。由於我是世界上與中興新村結緣最深的那一個人，就下了一個心願，要完成中興新村鋼筆淡彩一百幅，終於達成了。生活於斯，一景一物莫不有感，寄情於圖畫，了卻我無盡感恩之心思。

1956年出生，成長於彰化縣二林鎮的農村，大學畢業後即進入稅捐稽徵單位工作二十年，因台灣省政府虛級化，於1999年退休，開始在大專院校擔任教職，於2020年從教職退休。由於年輕時喜歡塗鴉，退休後開始學畫。自認為自己是與中興新村結緣最深的那個人，就以所學的鋼筆淡彩，描繪中興新村的一景一物，終於完成百幅集結成畫冊，就出版吧，好讓後人留個念想。
