洛爾斯
本書主要是批判地介紹洛爾斯的公正論。洛爾斯最主要的工作是建立一個分配公正的理論，他把自己的理論稱之為「公平式的公正」（Justice as Fairness）。這個理論所處理的是社會基本結構的公正問題。他提出了二個原則作為分配公正的原則：第一個原則是「最大均等自由的原則」，第二個原則是「差異原則」。本書詳細地討論了這二個原則的內容，並且舖陳出洛爾斯以什麼作為它們的前提，以及如何從這些前提推導出這二個原則。對於他的推論，作者提出了批評，並詳細地討論了以契約論的方法作為建立道德哲學所面對的困難。由於洛爾斯及哈伯馬斯都宣稱他們繼承了康德的傳統，同時他們兩人對新道德理論的性質的看法都受了喬姆斯基（Chomsky）的語言學的影響，但哈伯馬斯卻對洛爾斯提出的自由主義的理論有所批評，所以作者對他們的理論作了一個比較。這個比較，使得洛爾斯理論的特色更為顯出。
現年四十六歲，臺灣大學學士及碩士（一九六五及一九六九），加拿大渥太華大學哲學傳士（一九八○）。
主要研究興趣：倫理學、社會、政治哲學、歷史哲學、社會枓學的哲學以及中國政治理輪。現任教於香港中文大學。
