《鷹之歌》是新中國第一部地質勘探題材的長篇小說。小說描寫了新中國成立初期，地質勘探人員們勘探礦山的可歌可泣的故事。小說裏描寫到山林經驗豐富的地質工、白髮蒼蒼的老工程師、充滿豪邁盛情的男女青年技術員、幹勁十足的鑽探工以及服務在地質勘探部門的工人們。他們在建設社會主義偉大理想的鼓舞下，不辭辛苦，不畏艱險，奔波在深山裏，英勇頑強地跟大自然鬥爭，為工業建設尋找資源，最後終於發現了礦藏。表現出新中國第一批地質工作者們無私奉獻、捨身為國的愛國主義精神。
李雲德，作家，遼寧鞍山人。1947年參加中國人民解放軍，1951年畢業於解放軍測繪學校，1952年轉業到鞍山鋼鐵公司工作，歷任鞍鋼地質勘探公司技術員、黨委秘書，鞍鋼黨委宣傳部幹事、科長，鞍山市文化局創作組創作員，鞍山市文聯副主席。1954年開始發表作品，1964年加入中國作家協會。著有《沸騰的群山》《鷹之歌》《地質春秋》等作品。
