《閩海紀要》，為明末清初福建泉州南安人夏琳所著，敘述明鄭三代在臺灣的歷史，起於1645年，訖於1683年，以編年為體，紀事簡明，勾勒出東寧王朝（明鄭政權）興亡的這段史事。閩海，即臺海，就是今日的臺灣海峽。
明鄭是臺灣第一個漢人建立的政權，雖然這段歷史已久遠，然而卻頗具時代意義。三百多年前，明鄭政權與大清帝國隔著臺灣海峽對峙，與1949年以後，國民政府與共產中國隔海對峙的情景，頗有相似之處。因此，這段史事不時被歷史學者或政治人物提起，援古證今，相互比較，平添歷史耐人尋味之處。
本書擷取書中菁華，評述這段過往歷史，書末並附《閩海紀要》全書原文。
