德意志共和國史話(1918-1933)
威瑪共和時期，軍隊將領反對共和國，嚮往帝制。參政的主要政黨，沒有民主傳統，也並非心甘情願地接受這個共和政體。對行政官僚、知識分子以及中產階級來說，共和國是一個非德意志的舶來品，是一個過渡時期的產物。從歷屆國會選舉中可以看出，戰後的大多數德國人拒絕認同這個「德意志共和國」。威瑪共和末期，一小撮呼風喚雨的政各更是確信：共和政體是一切禍亂的根源。意想不到的戰爭失敗、強大帝國的突然解體、凡爾賽和約的屈辱條件，加上對威瑪共和議會民主體制的懷疑，使戰後的德國人民劫切期望「強人」出現，雪恥國強，重振國威。最後終於出現希特勒用「合法手段」取得政權的契權。
德國柏林自由大學哲學博士、杜賓根大學Doctor habilitatus、俄羅斯科學院遠東研究所名譽博士。柏林自由大學遠東研究所退休教授。中文主要著作：《共產國際與中國革命──第一次國共合作》、《俄共中國革命祕檔──1920～1925》、《俄共中國革命祕檔──1926》、《德意志共和國史話──1918～1933》、《希特勒與「第三帝國」興亡史話》。
