《了凡四訓》明代思想家袁了凡留給子孫的家訓，闡述了個人修身律己、安身立命之道。袁了凡以畢生所學，融合儒、釋、道三家的思想，形成了一種高超的為人處世哲學，以他本人由信命認命到積德改命的經歷來勉勵世人奮發向上。“命由己作，福自己求”，當個人的心性狀態發生改變，人生也會隨之而改變。
袁了凡，明代思想家，初名表，後改名黃，初號學海，後改了凡。著作涉及農業、曆法、軍事、音樂、幾何、佛學等諸多領域，其中《了凡四訓》一書影響深遠。
蔣維喬，字竹莊，別號因是子，近代著名教育家、哲學家、佛學家，與近代史學大師呂思勉並稱為“常州二先生”，現代教育首倡者之一，商務印書館奠基人之一，主要著有《中國佛教史》《中國近三百年哲學史》《因是子靜坐養法》等。
