廣東中山人，日本官立東 鐵道教習學院畢業，曾任中國文化大學、東海大學、中原大學建築所教授，香港東南亞研究所名譽研究員，著有《樂於藝》、《水彩技巧與創作》、《現代藝術基本理論》、《抽象藝術造形原理》等書，以及〈當代藝術的社會價值在中西思想上的差異〉、〈占婆藝術探討〉等論文。
