作者步入中醫之道，亦因天意，廿歲未足，二次大病（鼻咽癌及血癌），及後身體狀況極差，夏天穿厚衣亦沒發汗，四肢冰冷，兼且免疫力低，容易染病，每月外感發燒數次，又伴哮喘，經常在深夜二時開始氣喘至黎明，在出生地遍尋各式治療而未見改善，因此，作者決心學習中醫把自己治癒，並希望從中可以改善體質。在學習過程中幸運地遇到江蘇省針灸名醫盛燦若老師及婦科名醫趙可寧老師在百忙中經常指導，之後更幸運地得到國醫大師朱良春老師及其女兒朱婉華老師的指導下，使醫學上的知識更加深入。
