台灣武俠傳說的前身就是【老武俠書店】，收藏家林志龍，因同好的遊說下，於民國 98 年起在大安區自家經營租書店。因讀友眾多，讀友常因書被借走，而必須長時間的等候。在此向這些耐心等候的讀友們說聲謝謝。
昔大安區的老武俠書店，因為配合都更計劃，所以搬到萬華區現址，也因此興起把自身收藏的實體書數位化，以解決等候實體書燃眉之急，以享讀友。
武俠小說自始就是以出租為主，市場上並無販售，所收藏的實體書，本身也是出租店的作品。必竟這些作品收藏年份已超過 36 年，作品發表年份更是超過 50 年以上，甚至有些都已絕版，出租書在內容上，常有缺字、缺頁、沾黏、污損、塗鴨……等，希望讀者能見諒。
我們將持續推廣武俠文化，以回饋讀友的支持，謝謝。
